Melissa Bouvier

Melissa joined Applied Quantum Materials in November 2020. She has a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Alberta (2020). During her undergraduate studies she worked with Prof. Frederick G. West investigating modification size limitations of 2,5-anhydro-D-mannitol, a fructose analog with a high affinity to GLUT5, a hexose transporter that has increased expression in certain breast cancer cells. At AQM, Melissa works on the development and application of selective nucleic acid extraction via magnetic beads.
