Yolanda de Miguel

B.Sc. Hons. (1st Class) and PhD in Chemistry (Imperial College London, 91-97), where she was awarded several prizes as well as a British Petroleum PhD Studentship. Post-doc (Univ. Cambridge, 97-98). Newnham College Fellow (Univ. Cambridge, 98-99). Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellow (98-2002). University Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at King´s College London (99-2003). In 2003, she joined Labein-TECNALIA where she became an expert in nanotechnology-based development of new materials. Achievements incl. 7 PhD theses supervised, 4 patent applications, more than 30 ISI publications, etc. In 2015: “Science and Technology of Advanced Materials best paper prize”. In 2016: TEDx talk entitled “Small things matter”. In 2018: Basque Government prize for "research work and scientific and technological achievements throughout the entire career, having achieved excellence and a significant contribution to R&D&i in the Basque Country". Current position: Nanotechnology Director at TECNALIA.
